The Association Diocésaine de Coutances is dedicated to ensuring the practice and continuity of Catholic worship within the Diocese, under the guidance and authority of the Bishop and in communion with the Holy See. Our association manages resources, supports liturgical and pastoral activities, and fosters spiritual growth and community engagement, all in accordance with the teachings of the Catholic Church.

Rooted in faith and service, the Association Diocésaine de Coutances serves as a pillar for the local Catholic community, enabling worship, education, and outreach to flourish in alignment with the Church’s mission.

Our Mission

Our mission is to uphold and promote Catholic worship, pastoral care, and spiritual development throughout the Diocese of Coutances. We provide organizational support, resources, and guidance to parishes, clergy, and lay members, ensuring that liturgical celebrations, sacraments, and community activities are carried out faithfully and reverently.

Through our work, we aim to strengthen the faith of the local community, support the pastoral initiatives of the Church, and create opportunities for active participation in spiritual life. The Association seeks to be a bridge between the Church’s teachings and the faithful, fostering a living, vibrant faith experience.

Our Vision

We envision a Diocese where Catholic worship and pastoral activities are fully supported, accessible, and enriched by dedicated resources and collaborative engagement. Our vision is to nurture a spiritually vibrant community that is united in faith, guided by Church teachings, and actively engaged in service to others.

Through thoughtful management of resources and promotion of liturgical and pastoral initiatives, we aspire to create an environment where parishioners can deepen their spiritual life, participate fully in the sacraments, and experience the richness of Catholic tradition.

  3. Community: Fostering active engagement and participation within parish life and diocesan initiatives.

  4. Spiritual Growth: Encouraging the development of personal and communal faith through worship, catechesis, and pastoral activities.

  5. Integrity and Stewardship: Managing resources responsibly to sustain the Church’s mission and ensure the continuity of worship and pastoral programs.
